Thoughtful safety
Families sign children in and out each day. Children are released only to authorized people; an unfamiliar approved pickup person is buzzed in, must show identification, and receives help from a director with sign-out.

Our first concern is each child's well-being, safety, and all-around development. We recognize every child as an individual who develops at their own pace, and we believe each day is important to the growth of a healthy, confident learner.
How children learn here
Wonder leads the way
Teachers plan meaningful, play-based and curriculum-based experiences that support social adjustment, positive self-image, emotional growth, physical development, language, cognition, creativity, and fine- and gross-motor skills.
The 2025–2026 scope and sequence organizes learning around monthly themes, colors, math, shapes, letters, and science. Toddler through three-year-old classrooms build early skills through numbers 1–15 and letter study, while Pre-K and Advanced Pre-K extend math through 50, counting by 2s and 5s, alphabet review, and hands-on science concepts.

Prepared teachers
Classroom staffing: Each classroom has one teacher-qualified staff member and at least one teacher assistant, based on required ratios.
Teacher-qualified staff: Teachers have at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college, including at least 6 credit hours in early education.
All staff: Staff complete mandated DCFS training through the Gateways website, maintain current physicals and immunizations, hold a current Illinois Food Handler license, and complete at least 15 additional hours of professional development each year.
Teacher assistants: Assistants are at least 18 years old and hold a minimum of a high school diploma.
Directors: Directors have at least 60 credit hours from an accredited college, including at least 18 credit hours in early education and 3 credit hours in management. A director with current First Aid/CPR certification is always on site. Directors maintain a current Illinois Food Manager's License and at least 15 hours of professional development each year.
Family partnership
Families are welcome to visit, spend time in their child's classroom, or call to speak with the teacher. Infant and toddler families receive daily activity sheets, and all families are encouraged to check cubbies or folders and communicate concerns or special instructions with teachers or a director.

Our facility includes age-specific classrooms, an indoor play area, and outdoor spaces that give children room to learn, create, and move throughout the day. Secured front doors, video monitoring, playground fencing, and regular emergency drills support our daily safety practices.
